Lanfranco “Frankie” Dettori: Recently retired after a spell in the Americas, his extraordinary career spans over 35 years. Though primarily based in England, Frankie’s global career saw him become one of the most iconic jockeys in history, and a much loved sporting personality. He was British flat racing Champion Jockey three times in 1994, 1995 and 2004 and rode an astounding 287 Group 1 winners over the years. Of course, no-one can forget his most celebrated achievement, winning ALL seven races on the appropriately named, Champions Day, at Ascot in September 1996.
