Commissioned by our MD to celebrate the first running of the first Classic of the season in front of the new Millennium Grandstand at Newmarket. This Original acrylic painting by Stephen Smith celebrates the most emphatic British Classic victory for many, many years and the artist has captured both the power and elegance of Kings Best as he winged his way to success in the first Classic of the new Millennium, the Two Thousand Guineas, under Kieran Fallon. Trained by the mercurial Sir Michael Stoute, we saw far too little of the brilliant colt but this magnificent work of art captures forever his unique place in the Classic hall of fame! “Two Thousand” is a true work of art and a magnificent collectors item. Both beautifully and elegantly framed, it measures approximately 80 x 58cm.
