Description

A brilliant Limited Edition print by Sue Wingate, depicting the career of one of the best horses seen in Europe for many a long year. Dancing Brave was a scintillating winner of the pre-eminent Classic trial in 1986, the Craven Stakes on his first outing that year before scorching home in the Classic itself, the Two Thousand Guineas beating the top class Green Desert in doing so. He was then a desperatly unlucky second in the Derby before redressing the balance and winning the Eclipse in breathtaking style, by four lengths from the star mare, Triptych In following that with an easy success in the King george, reversing the form with the horse that had beat him in the Derby, he stamped himself as a horse of the highest possible calibre. After a warm up at Goodwood where he won by ten lengths, Guy Harwood’s 3yo was aimed at the Arc in Paris though it looked likely to be a star studded line up.  It is a matter of legend now that Pat Eddery bided his time and left his challenge until the final 200 yards before picking up a top class field and, effexcctiovely, carrying them! It was the performance of a superstar and, at that time, he was undoubtedly the best we had ever seen. IN commissioning Sue Wingate to produce this pictorial record, we knew we had seen something special. This superb print highlights vividly his career while also providing a roll of honour indicating the details of all his finest achievements. Sue Wingate’s work of art is impeccable and, after retaining a small number of these prints, we are pleased to make them available to you now. Each print is numbered and signed by the artist and, measuring 59 x 52cm, our prints are ready for framing…
