Through the magic of television, we are now privileged to be able to see all of the most spectacular sporting performances from around the world in the comfort of our own homes and, as as a professional sportsman myself, I know just how much effort and dedication it takes to reach the pinnacle of any sport.
The achievements of the likes of Sir Geoff Hurst, Sir Stanley Matthews, Muhammed Ali, Ian Botham and Lester Piggott captured within these pages are amongst many more featured on the superb Sporting Heritage website and their brilliance never dims, indeed their performances are
almost certainly looked upon with more pride now, than at any other time since. They really are true heroes.
Souvenirs and memorabilia are the most tangible means of recalling their achievements and in producing this range, bringing together the superstars of yesterday and indeed today, I congratulate Sporting Heritage on their wide and varied collection. Apart from my own riding career, I am an avid football fan from the blue half of
Merseyside and also an embryonic golfer. I love many different sports and I am sure that whichever sport you specialise in, you will appreciate not only the brilliance of the performances featured within this excellent range, but also the talent of the artists and indeed, the work of the Sporting Heritage team in providing us all with the opportunity to relive those golden moments.
